Okay. Thank you for those resources you have posted. I appreciate the input. However, my original point was not that I was mad about being called a racist, but WHY I was. Because from what I gathered was that it was only because I was white. And honestly "White people are viruses" is a shitty thing to say, and I'm really going to be skeptical if I see something like that cross someones blog. I asked about this persons opinion, and they came back just plain rude.
Some people are asked to explain those opinions very often, and become tired of it because of that. If you saw the post that talks about how “not all white people being like that”, you’d see that those comments aren’t LITERALLY meant to encompass all white people. If you know you’re doing right in terms of not perpetuating the racism that causes other people to feel that way, try to understand what might cause the feelings that made the person write that, and know that it isn’t you! Alright? :)

I’m not going to admit to something I haven’t done. I can definitely be convinced of “white privilege “. But I won’t admit to being a racist, just because I’m white. Because SOCIETY is racist. Society is also functioning. Ha. That’s two. I’ve already gotten shit, and told I’m not the gender identity I prescribe to, and it is apparently not my “place” to speak on issues of racism(bullshit. If I’m gonna come across shit like “white people are like a virus” then I have every fucking right to ask why this white privilege gives them cause to say shit like that) but I’m going to say whatever the fuck I want on my blog.
I don’t have any interest in being an “ally” to silencing of one race or another. Everyone is entitled to a say. Even my cat. Especially my cat. His fat ginger self has had it with this shit.

I am done, I am at my wits end, and so I am going to break this down.
When someone complains about there being a lack of people of color, eyes are rolled. The idea of inclusion is treated as some ridiculous and unnecessary attempt to burst everyone’s bubble.
“It doesn’t make sense for a POC to be in this story because X Y and Z. White people can be pretty much anywhere, but (despite there being unicorns or aliens or mermaids), people of color would just be SO out of place in this story.” In other words—POC are not welcome.
You can’t throw in diversity just for the sake of diversity! There has to be a reason for it!” In other words—POC “need a reason” to be included. A white face belongs, but somehow, despite the fact that POC exist, live lives just as valid as (and even more numerous than) your own, It’s the POCs that need some sort of plausible explanation.
Listen. To. Yourselves. It is INARGUABLE that the media and the world’s seats of power are full of overwhelmingy white faces. And when you defend and try to excuse the whitewashing of things like the Disney Princess franchise, you are literally vying for the idea that minorities somehow don’t deserve representation. Dress it up however you like, but if that’s not racist, I have no idea what is.
